Student Testimonies

Daisy Greenwood

Daisy achieved an A* in Art, an A in geography and an A in history. She said, “I am just so happy and grateful to the teachers for their support and encouragement over the time at Settle College.” Daisy is going on to study history at Oxford University.

Jordan Eyles

Jordan, who achieved an A in chemistry, A in physics and a B in maths, said “I’m pretty chuffed with what I got! I’m happy with the results and they’ve got me one step closer to what I want to do. I really did enjoy my time at school and the teachers had a personal knowledge of us in the small classes which was helpful. Thank you to the school as it’s always been a solid base. Teachers were always approachable and go the extra mile for every student. They really care and encourage you to do your best.” Jordan is planning to study Zoology at university in 2021.

Lily Whittle

Lily, who has published articles in Yorkshire Dales Review and currently has a piece to go in Routes, an academic Journal, achieved A* in art and her EPQ and A grades in geography and psychology. She has a place secured at the London School of Economics for September 2021, choosing to take a year out to work and then hopefully travel. Lily said “My time at Settle College has been fantastic and I was sad to see it cut short. The teachers are second to none and really make the school what it is. I am extremely happy with my results and cannot thank my teachers enough for all they have done for me throughout the years.”

Charlotte Wilkinson

Charlotte achieved an A* in Art, B in English Language and C in geography. She said “I am extremely happy with my results. These grades will allow me to go to Aberystwyth University to study Fine Art and Creative Writing. I would like to thank everyone at Settle College for the help and support that allowed me to achieve these results”.
